AI Response Rules
Coheso’s AI Response Rules allow Power Users to customize how the AI assistant responds with regard to specific documents.
Coheso’s AI Response Rules allow Power Users to customize how the AI responds under specific conditions. These rules are configured at the document level and ensure consistency in AI-generated answers. There are three types of AI Response Rules available:
Add-on Notes: Appends an additional note or instruction to the AI’s answer whenever certain document(s) are cited. This is useful for providing extra guidance or follow-up instructions to users (e.g. “Contact HR for more information” if an HR policy is referenced).
AI Validation: Prevents the AI from answering immediately when sensitive document(s) are involved. Instead, the query is routed to Work Management System for Power Users to review. The Business User is guided to create a request, and a Power User review/approve the AI’s drafted answer before it’s shared.
AI Guidance: Provides structured guidance to the AI on how to format or phrase answers when using specific document(s). This can enforce a particular answer format or terminology.
AI Response Rules are configured by Power Users in the Docs section of Coheso and apply to all users’ chats. Business Users cannot create or edit these rules – they simply experience their effects during chat. In the sections below, we’ll explore each rule type, how Power Users set them up, and what Business Users see in practice.
