Audit Logs (Power User)
This guide demonstrates how to use Coheso’s Audit Logs feature to review chat transcripts and AI responses.
Audit Logs is a feature available to Coheso’s Power Users that provides a comprehensive log of all chat transcripts and AI responses in the organization. This guide offers a step-by-step walkthrough for accessing and using the Audit Logs interface.
Navigating to the Logs Tab
In the chat interface, a Power User can access the audit logs by clicking the Logs tab in the left-side panel. The Logs page provides an organization-wide list of all chat conversations and the AI’s responses associated with them.

Viewing All Conversations
The logs table will display every recorded conversation. Each log entry in the table includes key details such as the timestamp of the interaction, the user who initiated the query, and the outcome or status of the transcript.

Filtering Chat Transcripts by Date and User
The Audit Logs interface includes a filter panel on the left side for refining the list of transcripts by date range or by specific users. The Power User can set a Start Date and End Date to define a time window, and use the Select Users to Filter dropdown to choose one or more users. After entering the desired criteria, clicking the Apply Filters button updates the log to show only conversations that match the selected dates and/or users.
If needed, the Power User can click Clear Filters to reset all filter fields and return to an unfiltered view of the log.

Expanding a Log Entry
Each row in the Logs table represents a conversation record (with columns such as Requestor, Conversation Title, Date). To inspect the content of a conversation, the Power User clicks on that log entry row. Upon clicking a row, it expands in place to reveal the full chat transcript, including the user’s query and the AI’s response.

Using the Show Evidence Feature
When a conversation is expanded, the chat history is displayed with each user query and the AI’s corresponding answer. For each AI response in the transcript, Power Users have the ability to view the source evidence behind the answer. By clicking Show Evidence, the Power User can view the relevant excerpt from the source document that supports the AI’s answer. This feature provides transparency by revealing exactly which passages or data the AI used when formulating its response, helping the organization validate the accuracy and source of the information given.

Exporting Audit Logs to CSV
Power Users can export data from the Audit Logs interface to a downloadable CSV file for further analysis or reporting. This can be done for all logs or after applying specific filters. Once the desired view is set, clicking the Export to CSV button will automatically download a file containing all visible transcripts in the current view directly to your system.

Returning to the Chat Interface
After reviewing the audit logs, the Power User can close the Audit Logs view to return to the standard chat interface. To do this, they click the close button located at the top-right corner of the Audit Logs screen. This action exits the Audit Logs section and returns the Power User to the main chat interface.
